Areas of Focus
While my early career was rooted in rich and formative work with children, younger teens, and their families, as well as adults, my practice today is focused on older teens, young adults, and adults — people who are ready to do the deeper work of understanding themselves, navigating life's complexities, and creating meaningful and lasting change.
A Special Focus on Women
I have a particular passion for working with women — of any age, at any stage of life.
We live in a world that asks an enormous amount of women. We are expected to manage careers, households, children, relationships, and the needs of everyone around us — often without complaint, often without help, and often while quietly carrying our own pain, confusion, and exhaustion. We are handed messages from childhood — from our mothers, from society, from culture — that tell us we must be perfect, endlessly capable, and grateful for what we have, even when what we have is not enough, is not working, or is quietly breaking us.
Many of the women I work with have spent years putting everyone else first. They are competent, capable, and accomplished — and they are also tired, depleted, and disconnected from themselves. Some have never had a space that was truly, completely theirs. Therapy can be that space.
Whether you are navigating the competing demands of work and family, struggling with self-worth or perfectionism, processing the weight of expectations you never agreed to carry, or simply trying to find your way back to yourself — I understand, and I am here.
Older Teens & College Students
The transition from adolescence into adulthood is one of the most significant — and most underestimated — passages in a person's life. For many older teens and college students, it is a time of enormous pressure, identity exploration, and uncertainty. Academic stress, social anxiety, the pressure to have it all figured out, navigating new independence, and the weight of family expectations can all converge in ways that feel overwhelming and isolating.
I work with older teens and college students who are struggling to find their footing — helping them develop the self-awareness, coping skills, and confidence they need to navigate this pivotal chapter with greater ease and authenticity.
Young Adults
The post-college years bring their own unique set of challenges. The map that guided the first two decades of life — school, grades, structured milestones — suddenly disappears, and many young adults find themselves feeling lost, directionless, or quietly falling short of the life they imagined. Questions about identity, purpose, relationships, and career can feel urgent and unanswerable all at once.
I work with young adults who are navigating the gap between where they are and where they want to be — including those struggling with failure to launch, executive functioning challenges, anxiety, depression, and the pressure of figuring out who they are and what they want from life.

Adults
For adults, the challenges are often quieter but no less significant. The accumulated weight of unresolved experiences, the demands of relationships and family, the complexity of major life transitions, and the simple but profound desire to live more fully and authentically — these are the things that bring many adults to therapy.
I work with adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including:
-
Anxiety and depression
-
Relationship and interpersonal difficulties
-
Familial conflict and parenting challenges.
-
The lasting impact of early trauma, abuse, or neglect
-
Grief and loss
-
Life transitions — including divorce, career changes, job loss, retirement, and the empty nest
-
Executive functioning struggles
-
The pursuit of a healthier balance between self, family, and career
