Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage — and I am truly glad you are here.
My name is Leslie Tsukroff, and for more than 30 years I have had the privilege of walking alongside teens, young adults, and adults as they navigate some of life's most challenging and meaningful moments. Whether you are carrying something heavy from your past, struggling to find your footing in the present, or simply ready to understand yourself more deeply — you do not have to figure it out alone.
​I want you to know something important from the start: there is no rush here. We all move at our own pace, and yours will be respected from the very first conversation. Together we will take the time to understand your unique history, needs, and goals — and from there, we will build a plan that is truly yours. Collaboratively. At a pace that feels right for you.
People sometimes ask me what therapy with me actually looks like. The honest answer is that it looks different for everyone — and even different from one moment to the next within a single session. I take an active, engaged approach to my work. I share my thoughts and impressions in real time. I might introduce a cognitive-behavioral strategy, then shift seamlessly into a creative or expressive exercise, weave in a mindfulness or grounding practice, and then move into deeper exploratory work through a psychodynamic or family systems lens — all within the same hour. Not because I am following a script, but because I am following you.
I think of my role as a guide and a companion on your journey. Sometimes I lead. Sometimes you lead. But most of the time, I am simply walking beside you — present, attentive, and genuinely invested in where this path takes you.
