Ethics & Clinical Consultation

Some of the most difficult moments in a clinical career are the ones

no one fully prepares you for

  • The client who is escalating.

  • The situation that keeps you up at night.

  • The ethical dilemma that feels too complex to navigate alone.

  • The boundary that has been crossed and you are not sure what to do next.

  • The client who is threatening to file an ethics complaint or take legal action.

  • The case where you feel genuinely stuck and need a trusted, experienced perspective to help you find your footing.

This is exactly the work Leslie does ~ and has been doing for nearly two decades.

Ethics and clinical consultation with Leslie is an integrated service that addresses the full complexity of the situations clinicians actually face ~ where the clinical, the ethical, and the practical are rarely separate. Rather than addressing these dimensions in isolation, Leslie helps clinicians examine difficult situations through multiple lenses simultaneously, so that the path forward is not just ethically sound but clinically informed and practically workable.

Consultation is available to clinicians at all stages of their careers and in all practice settings ~ solo practice, group practice, agency, or otherwise. Whether you are a newer clinician building your confidence or a seasoned practitioner navigating unfamiliar territory, Leslie brings the same depth of experience, genuine investment, and calm authority to every consultation relationship.

Clinicians who work with Leslie typically leave with:

  • A clear, actionable path forward

  • Greater confidence in their clinical and ethical decision-making

  • A deeper understanding of how to protect themselves and their clients

  • Tools and frameworks they can apply immediately and return to over time

How it works:
Begin with a complimentary 15-minute consultation to discuss your needs and determine fit. If you decide to move forward, you will complete a brief needs assessment before your first appointment — giving Leslie the information she needs to come prepared and hit the ground running. Together you will develop a blueprint for the work that is tailored to your specific situation and goals.

Urgent appointments are often available same-day or next-day. Reach out by email to arrange your free consultation.

Private Practice Development Consulting

Building, growing, or transitioning a private practice is one of the most rewarding ~ and most challenging ~ undertakings a clinician can pursue.

There is no roadmap that works for everyone, and the landscape of private practice is changing faster than ever. Whether you are just beginning to explore the possibility of private practice, looking to expand or refocus an existing one, or navigating a significant transition within your current practice ~ Leslie offers individualized consulting that meets you exactly where you are and helps you build something sustainable, ethical, and uniquely yours.

With 26 years of private practice development experience ~ including building and sustaining her own thriving solo practice ~ Leslie brings both the practical knowledge and the real-world perspective that only comes from having actually done this work, for a long time, at a high level.

Private practice development consulting covers the full spectrum of what it takes to build and sustain a thriving practice ~ from the foundational business and financial decisions that shape a practice's long-term viability, to the clinical, ethical, and legal considerations that protect both the clinician and their clients, to the documentation, billing, and technology decisions that keep a practice running smoothly day to day. Every consultation is individualized — beginning with a thorough needs assessment that allows Leslie to develop a tailored blueprint for your specific goals, challenges, and circumstances.

Consultation Groups

Working through the challenges of clinical practice with peers who genuinely understand what you’re navigating is uniquely powerful.

Leslie's consultation groups offer a rare combination of expert facilitation, collegial support, and real-world applicability — in an intentionally small and intimate setting that allows for honest conversation, genuine connection, and meaningful learning.

Groups are limited to 6-8 participants and are available in both general and topic-specific formats.

All group participants are required to sign a contract prior to joining. This document outlines Leslie's and participants' rights and responsibilities and ensures that all members can engage fully and confidently in the group experience.

Current and upcoming groups include:

For Newer Solo Practitioners
A consultation group designed for clinicians who are in the early stages of building a solo private practice and want a trusted, ongoing space to grow. This group addresses the full range of what it means to establish and sustain an ethical, thriving practice — including clinical skill-building, ethics, case consultation, practice management, and the practical realities of working independently. Members support one another while being guided by Leslie's expertise across all of these areas.

For Seasoned Practitioners
A consultation group for experienced clinicians who are ready to go deeper — examining their work with fresh eyes, challenging their assumptions, and adapting to a field that is changing around them. This group is for practitioners who are committed to continued growth and who want a peer community that meets them at the level of their experience.

Exploring Retirement
A support group for clinicians who are actively planning for retirement or beginning to think ahead. This group melds the clinical, emotional, logistical, and practical dimensions of one of the most significant transitions a clinician will ever navigate — offering members structured guidance, peer support, and a genuinely safe space to process what lies ahead. The current cohort is in progress and a new cohort is forming for the fall. Reach out now to learn more or reserve your spot.

All groups begin with a complimentary individual consultation to determine fit and answer any questions.
