Clinical Supervision
Supervision is one of the most formative and consequential relationships in a clinician's professional life. Done well, it builds the foundation upon which an entire career rests — developing not just clinical skill but ethical grounding, professional identity, and the kind of reflective practice that sustains meaningful work over the long term. Leslie approaches supervision with that responsibility in mind.
Leslie's Qualifications
Leslie has been a New Jersey Qualified Clinical Supervisor since 2004, with more than two decades of experience supervising clinicians across a range of settings and specialties. She is qualified to provide supervision to LSWs and LACs pursuing independent licensure in New Jersey — as well as clinicians navigating licensing board involvement.
Leslie is committed to maintaining current knowledge in the field of clinical supervision and regularly pursues continuing education to ensure that her supervisory practice reflects the most up-to-date standards, expectations, and best practices.
Who Leslie Supervises
Leslie provides clinical supervision to:
-
Licensed Social Workers (LSWs) pursuing independent licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey
-
Licensed Associate Counselors (LACs) pursuing independent licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey
-
Clinicians with licensing board involvement who are required to engage in formal supervision as part of the board's requirements
If you are a seasoned practitioner, a clinician in transition, or someone looking for ongoing professional support outside of the formal supervision relationship ~ Leslie offers a range of consultation services that may be exactly what you are looking for.
Leslie's Approach to Supervision
Supervision with Leslie is collaborative, supportive, direct, and thoughtful. She places a strong emphasis on building a solid supervisory relationship — one that is nurturing and steady, but that also encourages genuine growth and honest self-examination. She values the ability to look at clinical and ethical issues through multiple lenses, to consider alternative perspectives, and to engage in open dialogue — including respectful disagreement.
Her goal is to create a space where reflection, accountability, and professional development can coexist ~ where supervisees feel safe enough to be honest about what they do not know, challenged enough to grow beyond it, and supported enough to trust the process.
A Specialty Area
Supervision Following a Licensing Board Complaint
Leslie has specialized experience supporting clinicians whose license has been suspended or who are navigating the licensing board complaint process. She understands what the New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners expects, how the process works, and how to provide the kind of structured, documented, and professionally rigorous supervision that meets regulatory requirements while also supporting the clinician's growth and return to practice. This is sensitive and high-stakes work ~ and Leslie brings to it the same calm authority, clinical depth, and genuine investment she brings to every supervisory relationship.
If you are navigating this situation and are not sure where to turn, please reach out. Leslie is happy to discuss your circumstances confidentially during a complimentary 15-minute consultation.
Please Note
Supervision with Leslie involves a level of professional oversight and responsibility that extends beyond the supervision session itself. Please review the Fees page for a complete description of what is included in supervision billing — including correspondence, documentation review, quarterly board reports, and other supervisory responsibilities.
